As ESM reports, UK supermarkets have enjoyed a royal wedding boost in sales in items like speciality merchandise, champagne and party food in general. In recent months, all sorts of customized royal wedding merchandise has sprawled up everywhere and a number of food companies haven’t missed the opportunity to benefit from the spending spree of the many royal fans. Here are a few examples pointed out by the Food & Drink Innovation Network:
- Domino’s Pizza offers free pizza to couples named Will and Kate.
- To celebrate the royal wedding, British soft drinks brand Schweppes launched a selection of limited edition royal wedding bottles across its classic mixer and lemonade ranges.
- McVities unveils new limited edition royal biscuit tin.
- Farmhouse Fare, Britain’s sticky toffee pudding brand, launched a limited edition pack in the lead up to the Royal Wedding.
- Wall’s, part of the Kerry Foods Group and the UK-based sausage brand, has launched new Limited Edition Cocktail Sausage Rolls packaging ahead of the Royal Wedding.
